The group brings together 385 women producers located in two major coffee-growing regions: the Sierra and La Frailesca. For these producers, coffee cultivation is both an essential means of livelihood and the transmission of a family heritage, with farms often passed down from generation to generation and representing their main source of income.
Nantic, which means "our mother" in the Mayan Tzeltal language, highlights the role of indigenous women as guardians of cultural knowledge and fundamental actors in coffee production.
