Mexico - Chiapas Nantic RFA

The group brings together 385 women producers based in two major coffee-growing regions: the Sierra and La Frailesca. For these producers, growing coffee is both an essential livelihood and a family heritage, with farms often handed down from generation to generation and representing their main source of income.

Nantic, which means "our mother" in the Mayan Tzeltal language, highlights the role of Indigenous women as keepers of cultural knowledge and key players in coffee production.
